    Hitachi Cable America Inc. Releases Low Smoke Zero Halogen Category 6 Cables
    Hitachi Cable America Inc., (HCA), a U.S. manufacturer of copper and fiber optic communication cables, is now manufacturing Category 6 cables that carry both a Riser (CMR) rating and a low smoke, zero halogen rating referred to as LSHF (Low Smoke Halogen Free). The LSHF rating was granted by UL after successful testing to IEC 610342 (low smoke) and UL 2885 (halogen free).

    Enel starts operation of Lapa solar park in Brazil
    Enel, through its Brazilian renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power Brasil Participações ("EGPB"), has begun operation of its Lapa solar park, which is the largest solar photovoltaic (PV) facility currently in operation in Brazil.  Lapa, which is located in Bom Jesus da Lapa, in the north-eastern state of Bahia, is composed of two plants  –   Bom Jesus da Lapa (80 MW) and Lapa (78 MW), for a total installed capacity of 158 MW.

    Enel operates world's first “plug-and-play” micro-grid powered by solar PV and hydrogen-based storage in Chile
    Enel, through its subsidiary Enel Green Power Chile Ltda. ("EGPC") has started operations at the world’s first 100% emission-free “plug-and-play” commercial-sized micro-grid powered by solar PV as well as hydrogen-based and lithium-based storage. The facility is currently meeting part of the energy needs of the camp that hosts over 600 technicians working at the company’s geothermal plant Cerro Pabellón, located in Ollagüe in the Antofagasta region.

    LS Cable & System develops movable trolly wire system
    LS Cable & System announced that it has developed ‘the movable trolly wire system for electric freight trains’ for the first time in the world. This could radically improve the efficiency of railroad logistics. The trolly wire system is routinely applied to railroad depots, but they are now being applied to freight trains for the first time. Recently LS Cable & System successfully completed pilot operations at Okcheon Station in Chungcheongbuk-do together with KORAIL.
