CMI begins commercial production at cables plant in Baddi
Specialty cables maker CMI Limited has commenced commercial production at its new facility at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. This facility, built with a total capex of Rs 150 crore, is a part of the recently acquired General Cable Energy Private Limited, which is in the process of being merged with CMI Limited.

Nexans to close its cable factory dedicated to the Defense Market in the US
Nexans has announced that its US Subsidiary based in Elm City, North Carolina has decided to close its cable factory focused on the production of defense wires and cables. The decision has been taken in response to both a lack of profitability for the factory combined with the generally unfavourable mid to long term prospects for the defense cable market in the region.

Enel Green Power confirms renewables leadership in Mexico following successful tender outcome
Enel Green Power (“EGP”), acting through its subsidiary Enel Green Power México, has been awarded the right to sign contracts for 15-year energy supply and 20-year clean certificate supply with three PV solar projects for a total capacity of around 1 GW in Mexico in the country’s first long-term public tender since its energy reform. EGP has been awarded more capacity than any other operator taking part in the tender, confirming its position as the largest renewables operator in Mexico in terms of installed capacity and project portfolio.

Nexans secures energy supply for Arran and Kintyre, Scotland
