    Air Liquide Signs New Contracts in the Fiber Optics Industry in China
     Over a one-year time period, Air Liquide (Paris:AI) signed new supply-contracts covering a period of 10 to 15 years with three major Chinese fiber optics manufacturers. In the frame of these new contracts with Futong Group Communication Technology, Yangtze Optical Fibre, and Zhongtian Technology Fine Materials, Air Liquide will supply a total exceeding 6,000Nm3 per hour of hydrogen and 4,000Nm3 per hour of nitrogen, together with bulk oxygen, helium, argon and carbon dioxide. Air Liquide will thus support the further development of China’s fiber optics industry.

    Enel Group signs agreement to acquire EnerNOC
    Enel Green Power North America, Inc. (“EGPNA”), an Enel Group subsidiary, has signed an agreement, unanimously approved by the board of directors of US-based company EnerNOC (Nasdaq: ENOC), to purchase 100% of EnerNOC for a total consideration of approximately 250 million US dollars .     Chile, China moving ahead with underwater fiber optic cable connection
    The Chilean government announced Wednesday that it is working with China to install an underwater fiber optic cable between the two countries.     Hitachi Cable America Inc. Releases Low Smoke Zero Halogen Category 6 Cables
    Hitachi Cable America Inc., (HCA), a U.S. manufacturer of copper and fiber optic communication cables, is now manufacturing Category 6 cables that carry both a Riser (CMR) rating and a low smoke, zero halogen rating referred to as LSHF (Low Smoke Halogen Free). The LSHF rating was granted by UL after successful testing to IEC 610342 (low smoke) and UL 2885 (halogen free).
