Nexans’ HV cables to connect ScottishPower Renewables’ 714 MW wind farm to shore
ScottishPower Renewables has chosen Nexans’ submarine cables to carry energy onshore from its new 714 MW East Anglia ONE offshore windfarm. Nexans will supply and install two 85 km 3-core submarine cables with embedded fibre optics, as well as accompanying accessories, for the wind farm in the North Sea. The contract is worth more than 180 million euros.

GE to Help Increase Output and Efficiency of EPS’s Coal-Fired Power Plant in Serbia
GE’s Power Services (NYSE: GE) today announced that this year it will complete the modernization of Elektro Privreda Srbije’s (EPS) TPP Nikola Tesla, the largest coal-fired power plant in Serbia. Coroplast builds automotive cables plant in Moldova
Automotive components supplier Coroplast Fritz Müller GmbH & Co. KG plans to launch a new 10 million euro ($10.7 million) production plant in southeastern Moldova. The cables, wiring and industrial adhesive tapes specialist based in Wuppertal, Germany, is starting to construct its new electrical cables and injection molded parts operation in the city of Căuşeni this spring.

Focus on innovation and project execution for offshore wind farms in northern Europe
Prysmian Group, world leader in energy and telecom cable systems industry, announces that the interconnection between the Veja Mate offshore wind farm and the offshore grid connection system Borwin2 in the German North Sea has been successfully plugged in. The project was awarded to Prysmian by TenneT, the Dutch-German transmission system operator (TSO).
