    Enel inaugurates 238 MW Don José solar project in Mexico
    Enel, through its renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power Mexico ("EGPM"), inaugurated the 238 MW Don José photovoltaic solar plant located in San Luis de la Paz, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato. The milestone was celebrated with an opening ceremony attended by the Governor of the State of Guanajuato, Miguel Márquez Márquez; the Managing Director for State-Owned Enterprises at Mexico’s Secretariat of Energy, Víctor Hugo Luque Salcedo; the Ambassador of Italy in Mexico, Luigi Maccotta; the Municipal President of San Luis de la Paz, Guillermo Rodriguez Contreras, as well as different public authorities at the federal, state and municipal levels.

    Enel to test first-of-its-kind innovative storage system of russia's railway network
    Enel S.p.A. (“Enel”), acting through its advanced energy services unit Enel X and RusEnergoSbyt[1], the energy supplier and joint venture between Enel and ESN, signed today a Partnership Agreement with Joint Stock Company Russian Railways (“RZhD”), whereby the two players will team up mainly for the development of innovative energy storage systems to be installed across the Country’s railway network. This is the first time this type of battery technology is used in the railway sector.

    NEC has said the spectral efficiency across the FASTER subsea cable system can be upgraded to 6 bits per second per hertz for a capacity of more than 26 terabits per second (Tbps) -- over two and a half times the capacity originally planned at no additional wet plant capex.
