In November 2018, we held the "HENGTONG Overseas 10,000km Submarine Optical Cable Delivery Ceremony" in Changshu, Jiangsu Province celebrating HENGTONG’s success in manufacturing and delivering nearly 3,000km submarine optical cable to Chile FOA Project and achieving cumulative overseas deliveries of 10,000km submarine optical cable, ranking us first in the world in both capacity and delivery to the domestic submarine optical cable market. This is a milestone in China's submarine cable industry, and highlights the "made in China" in the field of international oceanic communications.

In November 2018 the 500kV XLPE insulated optical fiber composite submarine cable of 18.15km and without joints manufactured by HENGTONG has been successfully and completely laid in Dapeng Island, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. This also marks that the Zhejiang Zhoushan 500kV Transmission and Transformation Project has entered a critical stage.

In November 2018, the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting was held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. President Xi Jinping was invited to attend the summit and delivered a keynote speech "Working together to create a better future", emphasizing that we should grasp the right direction for world economic development, find effective governance ideas for the international community, work together and drive the world economy to be better. Heads of states, governments, senior officials and more than 800 leaders and enterprisers from 21 APEC economies attended the summit. Cui Genliang, Chairman of the Board HENGTONG GROUP, was invited to attend the meeting as a Chinese Business representative.
