Enel Green Power cooperates on wave energy with CCE
Enel Green Power (“EGP”), the Enel Group’s renewable energy arm, and Australian renewable developer Carnegie Clean Energy Limited (“CCE”) signed a Collaboration Agreement aimed at developing and testing CCE’s CETO 6 wave energy generator. Under the agreement, EGP and Carnegie will also work together to identify, develop and invest in new opportunities for CETO 6 across Australia, Europe and globally.

Electric cars: EIB supports Enel's plan for 14,000 new charging stations
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is working alongside Enel to install about 14,000 charging stations for electric vehicles throughout Italy, over the next five years. This is the objective of the agreement signed today in Rome by the EIB and Enel X Mobility, a subsidiary of Enel X, the Enel Group business line that focuses on developing innovative products and digital solutions. Enel X Mobility will receive a 10-year loan totalling 115 million euros, guaranteed by Enel Spa, of which 50 million euros have already been finalised.

Fainplast expands its operations in Ascoli Piceno
In April 2018, Fainplast has started an important new expansion of its production plant in Ascoli Piceno. The new building currently under construction stands on a property already owned by the company and situated next to the existing factory. In prevision of such expansion, already in 2017, 2 new bridges were built over a small river dividing the 2 areas. 7000 sqm. of the new building will be dedicated to warehousing and production equipment while 1200 sqm. will be available for new offices and laboratories. The total investment for such new facility was estimated in 5 Million euro.

Orient Wires & Cables Wins Second Marine Cable Bid for Wind Farm in South China Sea
Ningbo Orient Wires & Cables has bagged a CNY180 million (USD27 million) contract to supply and lay 35 kilovolt submarine cables for an offshore wind farm in Guangdong province, its second successful bid to supply power lines for the project.

Metro Optic, Crosslake Fibre and Utilities Kingston to Build Fibre-Optic Cable from Montréal to Toronto
Metro Optic, Crosslake Fibre, and Utilities Kingston announce today their plans to build a new fibre-optic cable system from Montréal to Toronto. The project will be developed by Maple Leaf Fibre Ltd., a joint venture of two leading independent Canadian providers of fibre optic network capacity, Crosslake Fibre ULC based in Toronto, Ontario and Metro Optic based in Montréal, Quebec. The Maple Leaf Fibre cable system will have a terrestrial segment between Montréal, Ottawa, and Kingston, and a submarine segment through Lake Ontario between Kingston and downtown Toronto.
