 Norwegian and German companies have inked an agreement to build a long power cable linking both countries' electricity networks. The Nordlink project is to become operational in five years from now.

Plant "TATKABEL" has completed the construction of 110 kV cable line "Western High-Speed Diameter" in St. Petersburg.

December 29, 2014 «OSTEK-Systems" has successfully passed certification in the system of voluntary GAZPROMCERT certification. The audit took place in the system, both manufactured by OSTEC as evidenced by their new certificates with a validity of up to 2017.

In December 2014 during the meeting of the Head of Administration of the Tambov region Oleg Betina and President of the company "Siemens" in Russia Dietrich Muller signed an agreement on cooperation between the region and the concern.

It is planned to develop a conceptual plan for the reconstruction of the plant "UNION-CABLE" in 2015.

December 19, 2014 the winners of the award of public trust as "Brand №1 in Russia" were awarded. The award was presented to the first persons of Group IEK in a solemn ceremony in the Kremlin Palace of Congresses.

Enel has received the “Gold Class” distinction for its excellent sustainability performance in the 2015 edition of RobecoSAM’s “The Sustainability Yearbook”, a leading publication on corporate sustainability, now at its twentieth edition. Enel is one out of three “Gold Class” companies listed in the “Electric Utilities” category worldwide and one out of four Gold Class companies in Italy. This year, out of 3,000 leading worldwide companies assessed by RobecoSAM, only 457 of them were listed under 59 categories in The Sustainability Yearbook, with the following distinctions: 69 “Gold Class”, 54 “Silver Class” and 112 “Bronze Class” companies. Enel’s Spanish subsidiary Endesa was listed among the “Silver Class” companies in the Electric Utility Sector.

 Nexans’ Direct Electrical Heating (DEH) cable systems will be installed to help in maintaining the reliable flow of products from the Shah Deniz  field, located in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. The world’s largest DEH project to date will see Nexans deliver a total of 130 km of the cable system to provide flow assurance for 10 subsea flow lines. The contract is worth approx 100 million Euro.

On November 21 in the III International Forum on Energy Efficiency and Conservation ENES 2014 an agreement was signed between the Government of Moscow and "Siemens".
