Moscow Power Engineering Institute has entered the top ten best universities of the CIS countries . In the ranking, prepared by RA "Expert" , NIU MEI took the seventh position.

At the 220 kV Mogocha substation, the branch of JSC " FGC UES " (included in the group of companies of " Rossetti ") - Trunk Power Grids ( MEA ) of Siberia - in the period from December 2013 to March 2014 , the installation and testing of equipment STATCOM -1 was performed: Cooling System of voltage converter , filter- , battery static capacitors , voltage converter .

GE (NYSE: GE) and JSC " NK" Rosneft " , one of the leading oil companies in the world , signed an agreement on the establishment of joint ventures aimed at expanding scientific and technical cooperation between the two companies . The Ministry of Mass Communications of the Russian Federation plans to open five new industrial parks in the regions of Russia until the end of 2014 . Industrial parks will be built under the program «Creation of the technology parks in the Russian Federation in the sphere of high technologies", which involves co-financing of the construction of industrial parks by the RF federal budget. Action program is terminated in 2014 , however, the regions that have received subsidies , should achieve high performance within a few years after the completion of the program. Thus, by 2018 they should be loaded at least 90%.

On 6 and 7 February 2014 at the Training Center in the Moscow office of ABB in Russia a meeting with representatives of the leadership of leading national technical universities was held.
