Students of National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” (“MPEI”) will do practical work at objects of OJSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (“MOESK”)

In 2015 more than 110 students of the third year of National Research University “MPEI” will do practical work in OJSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company”, which is in the group of companies “Rusnets”.

On June 15th there was a general introductory meeting of students in the university. They got main information of the company and its technical policy. During the practice the students will learn more details of “MOESK” work.

The educational center MOESK carried out large preparatory work for the organization of production practical work. The students were divided into 5 groups, every of which was attached to one of “MOESK” offices. North, South, East, West and Central electric nets opened doors for the future generation of power men. During the period from June 15th to July 7th 2015 the students got acquainted with the work of subdivisions of the offices, each group visited an administration of labour protection, safety and reliability of technological  management; a relay protection and automatics department, a department of transmission facilities, a department of isolation, protection from overvoltage and tests, a department of power distribution network, a  department of substations, a telecontrol department, a control department, a department of electric power accounting, a metrology department, a department of customers' service.

Besides, all the students visited objects of high voltage cable nets and the Center of management of nets.

Before studies the students listened to instructions about labour protection and fire safety.

OJSC “MOESK” has been collaborating with National Research University “MPEI” and preparing specialists. In May 2014 in addition to the Agreement of collaboration between the company and the university an agreement of organization and carrying out of induction, production and before graduation practice of students was concluded. The regulation “The order of organization and carrying out of practice of students and pupils in OJSC “MOESK” was worked out and confirmed.

90 students of Power Engineering Institute “MPEI” passed induction practice at MOESK objects last year.
