Lavrov and the King of Jordan discussed the problems in the Middle East and energy issues

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Jordan's King Abdullah II at UN General Assembly discussed the current problems in the Middle East with emphasis on the Syrian and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, said the Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.
"They discussed the current regional issues with emphasis on the situation around Syria and the Palestinian-Israeli settlement," - a statement says published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The sides also discussed "the problem of the further advancement of bilateral Russian-Jordanian mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of areas, including energy," RIA Novosti reported.
Russia takes part in the construction of the first Jordanian nuclear power plant. The agreement between Russia and Jordan on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes was signed in 2009.
