Partex opens cable plant in Bangladesh

Partex Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the country, inaugurated a cable manufacturing factory at Bandar in Narayanganj yesterday.
With this new addition, Partex now has 70 factories.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the plant as chief guest, hailing the group's continued efforts in setting up new factories.
He said political stability helps develop a country and ongoing industrialisation was a manifestation of it.
MA Hashem, founder and chairman of Partex Group, said the government has set a target to produce 40,000 megawatts of electricity by 2030, when the demand for cable would be manifold.
Partex Cables has already started commercial sales and marketing operations, he said.
AKM Salim Osman, a lawmaker from Narayanganj, Sultana Hashem, chairperson of Partex Star Group, Aziz Al Kaiser, vice chairman, Aziz Al Mahmood, managing director, Tabassum Kaiser, chairperson of Partex Agro, and Savera H Mahmood, managing director, were present at the event.
