During the 86th Izmir International Fair, Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak invited representatives of the Turkish government as well as the scientific and business communities to take part in the ‘Russian Energy Week’ Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow on 3–7 October 2017.
The minister noted during the fair events that conditions had been created for the gradual restoration of Russian-Turkish relations thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two countries’ leaders.
“We have opened a new chapter of relations and outlined a commitment to forming a new agenda of trade and economic cooperation. Trade turnover between the countries is steadily being restored and increased by 28% over the first half of 2017. The countries are actively developing investment cooperation. Experts estimate Russia’s investment projects in Turkey are valued at more than USD 10 billion. Our Turkish partners have invested a similar amount in implementing projects in Russia”, Novak said.
To date, delegates from more than 30 countries have confirmed they will participate in REW 2017.
