Turkish car cables maker Cagatay Kablo to build plant in Macedonia - ex-PM Gruevski

Turkish manufacturer of cables for the automotive industry Cagatay Kablo will build a 6 million euro ($6.7 million) plant in Macedonia, VMRO-DPMNE party leader and former primer minister Nikola Gruevski said on Thursday.

The new plant will open 200 new jobs, Gruevski said as quoted in a statement published on the VMRO-DPMNE website.

The cable plant will have an area of 6,700 sq m.

Construction works on the plant are expected to start in July.

Cagatay Kablo was established in 1998. It manufactures wiring-harness and cables mainly for automotive industry. The company owns a factory with an area of 14,000 sq m, which produces 700,000 pieces of wiring-harness and battery cables per year and 200,000 km cable.
