After the Official Opening Ceremony of International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2016, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov held a work meeting with the State Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India Nirmala Sitharaman. Governors of three largest Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan participated in the negotiations.

Manturov thanked Minister Sitharaman and the Indian authorities for their decision to participate in INNOPROM-2016 as its Partner Country.
“We expect our active cooperation in exhibition participation to continue in 2017 in India, since currently we are discussing Russia’s involvement in the India Engineering Sourcing Show, an international exhibition that will provide us with the opportunity to present joint projects in metallurgy, aircraft engineering, and other prospective cooperation areas,” Denis Manturov shared.

At INNOPROM, Nirmala Sitharaman leads the Indian delegation of 300 people. India’s Partner Country stand spans over 3650 sq. m. and showcases more than 120 Indian industrial companies. Key exhibition participants include Sun Group, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India, and National Hydro Power Corpn (NHPC).

Representatives of the Indian delegation will participate in the Russia-India business forum on July 11, 2016, other business program events and 8 separate B2B meetings on pharmaceuticals, mining, and energy, and the Industrial Design Forum.

India also participated in the Official Opening Ceremony and is organizing the Partner Country Reception with the participation of the authorities. The Reception will be held on July 11, 2016 at IEC Ekaterinburg-EXPO.

INNOPROM-2016 will also play host to the Days of Indian Culture in Sverdlovsk Region festival that will include over 20 cultural and recreational events.
