“Kamskiy Cable” works in conformity with a basic course of the modernization of economy in the country, taking part in the Program on import substitution in cable industry and realizing an own strategy of import substitution.

The first direction of the strategy of the enterprise is to support and improve traditional cable technologies, reliability of which has been checked through long Russian experience of useful life. Among such traditional cable products are impregnated paper cables with a useful life of more than 60 years, oil-submersible 230 Co  cables for aggressive environment of wells, boardside wires for aircraft. “Kamskiy Cable” was one of the first in Russia to master the serial production of boardside wires of a new generation- BK 37 132 type for planes of the 6th generation. At the beginning of 2015 experimental design works and a preparation for the serial production were finished.

Elaboration and inculcation of cable technologies are the second direction of the strategy of import substitution of the enterprise.

“Kamskiy Cable” always follows and inculcate innovations that appear at the cable market. When in 2000s new foreign technologies came to Russia, “Kamskiy Cable” has successfully mastered and now produces such new for the Russian market products as cross-linked polyethylene 110-220 kV cables, fire safety cables including shaft cables of a “protomont” type with an Ltx index. In 2014 power cables with ethylene propylene rubber covering of EPRon®, that are on great demand among customers, were mastered and put on the serial production. EPRon® cables have been already delivered to large petrochemical highly explosive objects which are realized in the Far North regions. In summer 2015 experimental researches of innovative wires for overhead transmission lines of ASp and AT1PS/S marks finished successfully. According to the results of the researches the wires have been recommended for use for the building of new power lines and modernization of existing overhead transmission lines to increase through-put at an existing infrastructure of power lines.

Nowadays the plant masters production of power superhigh-voltage cables for the power engineering industry, halogen free cables for the underground, high-temperature cables for the oil-extracting industry and other insulated cables from modern materials.
