A global premiere of new solutions of the group of companies “SST” for the oil and gas industry

The group of companies “Special Systems and Technologies”, which is the largest producer of electric heating systems, represented two novelties for the oil and gas complex in June 2015. The new systems were introduced at the largest industry exhibitions Acheme (Frankfurt) and Oil and gas/ MIOGE (Moscow).

The group of companies “Special Systems and Technologies” is one of the largest producers and suppliers of domestic systems of electric heating of pipe-lines, reservoirs and technological equipment. Solutions of the group of companies “SST” take about 30 % of the Russian market and are wanted by the largest enterprises of the oil and gas industry. Within the bounds of the industry plan of import substitution, confirmed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the group of companies “SST” realizes a number of events directed to the solution of the import substitution tasks in the segment of industrial systems of electric heating.

In June 2015 a professional association was introduced with two novelties of the group of companies “SST”. The presentation of new solutions took place at the exhibitions Acheme (Frankfurt) and Oil and gas/ MIOGE (Moscow).

An electric heating technology of underwater and underground pipe-lines on the basis of a SKIN-effect

A unique working out of the group of companies “SST”, in which technologies of cable heating and a SKIN-effect are combined, is intended for the heating of products that are transported by underground or underwater pipe-lines. In the basis of this system there is a special heating cable  in which an induction resistive principle of transformation of electric energy into heat energy has been realized. Such a heating system can be inside and outside a pipe-line, it is absolutely hermetical and steady to the influence of aggressive environment. At the expense of flexibility and mechanical strength this system is convenient for installation. Powering for this system is given from one end and that is especially actual for the heating of extended underwater or underground pipe-lines.

An energy efficient technology of the heating of wells

A complete system of the induction resistive electric heating is intended for the protection of oil wells from deposits of asphalt paraffin resins which widen a passage section of a column of tubing pipes and form paraffin jams. A special heating cable with changing allocated capacity is put inside a tubing pipe. Oil in a well is heated up to the temperature that exceeds the temperature of crystallization of paraffin and this fact prevents from appearing of deposits. The use of a  complete system of the induction resistive electric heating increases an overhaul period of a well's maintenance, reduces negative influence onto the environment and increases the efficiency of the use of energy sources.

The complete system consists of a heating element with a connection system, protection, management and also a mobile complex for settings, adjustments and wiring.
