The Final of WorldSkills Russia: the group of companies IEK is enlarging educational horizons

On 23rd May 2015 III National professional skills championship WorldSkills finished in Kazan. This year 1200 participants and experts from all over Russia took part in it. They competed in 55 qualification skills and 60000 spectators supported them.
We want to remind that the group of companies IEK is in the number of organizers and partners of WorldSkills Russia and its representatives are members of an industrial committee of the organization. The group of companies IEK fully provided the competitions with its equipment in “Wiring works” and “Industrial automation” qualifications. The group of companies IEK also gave its equipment to JuniorSkills competitions for children between 10 and 14 in “Electrical installation work” qualification.
Due to junior competitions JuniorSkills, the showcase “Electrical installation work” attracted heightened attention of spectators and jury in the final WorldSkills Russia. Among the guests of the showcase were prime of the government of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets, governmental delegation from Tatarstan headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov. Young installers, among of whom were inmates of a Children's Home from Novosibirsk, collected circuits of electric motor start and the system of lighting control. All the tasks were worked out by IEK engineers and the circuits were collected on IEK equipment. School children could collect circuits of a modern college level. According to JuniorSkills results they came to an agreement with Novosibirsk Construction College, that the participant inmates from Novosibirsk Children's Home could enter the College for “Electrical installation work” qualification. In prospect these children will be able to work in RusGidro holding after graduation Novosibirsk Construction College.
Due to active participation of the group of companies IEK in the process of working out the tasks for grown-up competitions WorldSkills Russia in “Wiring works” qualification, the difficulty of the tasks has increased, but the level has become closer to the level of international championships. While working out the tasks, the special attention was drawn to the culture of installation work and the use of the most modern equipment. Kazan State Energy University, which is the partner of the group of companies IEK, gave to the participants of the competitions certificates for the University entering without taking into consideration results of Centralized Testing and providing with a hostel and heightened grant for the first six months of the studying.
Within the bounds of the National championship, the group of companies IEK took part in a round-table discussion behind closed doors about the organization of championships WorldSkills CIS+ in Commonwealth of Independent States countries. It became an initiator of the development of “Electrical installation work” competency. It also expressed its opinion for the organization of JuniorSkills competitions in Commonwealth of Independent States countries.
