Tomsk region and "Rosseti" begun to implement the "road map" on import substitution

Russian manufacturer of modern electrical equipment  "Tomskcable"  presented their products to Tomsk Distribution Company management, a member of the group of "Rosseti".

The parties have agreed to move to direct supply that is made possible by the passage of an accelerated certification of "Tomskcable" equipment in "Rosseti" according to the joint with the Tomsk region "road map" on the use of domestic products at the Group network facilities.

Acting Vice-governor of the Tomsk region on industrial policy Nikolai Glebovich recalled that in 2014 the regional head Sergei Zhvachkin and CEO of "Rossetti" Oleg Budargin signed a "road map" of the project "Increasing the use of products and technologies enterprises of Tomsk region, including import substitution for JSC "Rossetti".

The heads of the region's power grid and the companies agreed that in 2014 - 2017 years Tomsk machine-building enterprises will participate in the prospective program "Rosseti" for the company to develop new models of cables and distribution equipment.

"Participation of Tomsk cable operators in the program of import substitution and profitable power engineering equipment manufacturers and power companies are directed to consumers. Reduced cost of power engineering has a positive effect on the rate of change of tariffs that are interested in both the population and business ", - Acting Vice-Governorsaid .

Today "Tomskcable" completes the construction of a new building for the production of cable products of ethylene propylene rubber and cross-linked polyethylene. While these products are only appearing on the Russian market, they have been existing in the European countries for more than 30 years. It is distinguished by high strength, flexibility and high bandwidth.

"We produce more than 50,000 types of products, so it takes an active role in the implementation of the" road map ", we planned to complete certification of its products in the" Rosset " by May , -  the general director of" Tomskcable "Sergei Chulovskiy said at the presentation.

As noted in the "Rosseti", today the share of imported equipment power industry is about 40%, but in certain areas is up to 90%. The company is currently developing a policy of import substitution, which is expected to be adopted in the first half of this year. It is expected that the result of its implementation will be in  decline in the share of foreign equipment to 14% by 2019. First of all, complete switchgear, power cable and transformer can be replaced by domestic products.
