Russian oil and gas sector can completely switch to domestic electrical heating system

National Oil and Gas Forum participants discussed new market opportunities for local producers and suppliers of technologies and equipment in the oil and gas sector.

On March 11, 2015 as part of the National Oil and Gas Forum held a conference dedicated to the import substitution and technological development of the oil and gas industry. The discussion was attended by Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Minister of Industry and Trade, Minister Denis Manturov, President of JSC "Surgutneftegaz" Vladimir Bogdanov, General Director of JSC "Gazprom Neft" Dyukov, the first vice-president of "Lukoil" Ravil Maganov, heads of engineering and oilfield service companies, representatives of the scientific and expert community.

In his speech, Minister of Energy A.Novak noted that the current economic situation, associated with the introduction of a number of countries of sanctions on oil and gas complex of Russia and the devaluation of the ruble, creates opportunities for suppliers of domestic technologies and equipment to increase their own market share. As part of the goal of reducing the critical dependence on foreign technologies in the oil and gas sector, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation has developed a plan to reduce the share of imported equipment from 60% to 43% in the medium term.

The Group of companies "Special Systems and Technologies", Russia's largest manufacturer of electrical heating systems, was presented by the commercial director of "SSTenergomontazh" Alexander Chirka. In his speech, he presented the possibility of SST Group as a vertically integrated holding company, fully focused on the production of innovative solutions in the field of electric heating. SST Group today includes several production facilities, R & D center, a specialized engineering company of a full cycle, several distribution companies in Russia and abroad.

Natural resources and infrastructure companies need to implement in practice, real and transparent mechanisms of interaction with Russian producers, - Alexander Chirka said. - Production potential of SST Group allows you to completely close the short term needs of the Russian domestic oil and gas sector of heating systems We have eliminated the technology gap in our segment and representation of  the Russian electric heating systems that are competitive in quality and price, both in the domestic and foreign markets "
