Enel has received the “Gold Class”

Enel has received the “Gold Class” distinction for its excellent sustainability performance in the 2015 edition of RobecoSAM’s “The Sustainability Yearbook”, a leading publication on corporate sustainability, now at its twentieth edition. Enel is one out of three “Gold Class” companies listed in the “Electric Utilities” category worldwide and one out of four Gold Class companies in Italy. This year, out of 3,000 leading worldwide companies assessed by RobecoSAM, only 457 of them were listed under 59 categories in The Sustainability Yearbook, with the following distinctions: 69 “Gold Class”, 54 “Silver Class” and 112 “Bronze Class” companies. Enel’s Spanish subsidiary Endesa was listed among the “Silver Class” companies in the Electric Utility Sector.

Founded in 1995, RobecoSAM is an investment specialist focused exclusively on Sustainability Investing.
