Technical director of the group of companies "Sevkabel" Pavel Tsvetkov visited the exhibition Wire China 2014 held in Shanghai. During the exhibition, meetings with the leadership of the Shanghai Research Institute of electrical cables and equipment manufacturers for the cable industry were held.

The visit to China included visits to two companies of Hengtong: Plant Hengtong Optic-Electric in Suzhou, the largest in the country for the production of optical fiber and plant Jiangsu Hengtong HV Power Cable System, where available, and optical submarine power cables. In the production of the vertical line is set to isolate the cable up to 500 kV, the company is able to ship large cable products production length right on the cable ships moored at the pier of the factory on the Yangtze River.

Technical Director of "Sevkabel" held talks with representatives of both companies, and discussed possible ways of cooperation.

"We are interested in the methods of work of colleagues in the People's Republic of China, standardization, development of new types of cable structures, ways of designing new plants, the options installed at the factory equipment - Pavel Tsvetkov said on the visit to China. - I was impressed by the culture of production in Chinese enterprises, speed training. I note that the technologies used in the production of submarine power cables are not inferior to the European and the scale of production of cables considerably exceeds them. Chinese cable men decided several technological challenges: mastered the production of preforms for the manufacture of optical fiber submarine cable production of large lengths of cable manufacturing equipment at its own technical base. And the cable industry in China is self-sufficient and not dependent on foreign supplies of equipment and materials. It is obvious that without serious state support such large-scale projects cannot be realized. Unfortunately, in Russia today, we see no prerequisites for these tasks. Guide Hengtong interested in different variants of cooperation with a group of companies "Sevkabel."
