The magazine “ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution” embarks on preparing a special English edition for demonstration of cutting-edge Russian technologies at 45th CIGRE session in Paris

August 24-29, 2014 – Palais des Congres Paris (France) will host 45th session of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE*). In parallel of the event, a  technical exhibition is going to be held, the main aim of which is exchange of R&D information, as well as presentation to the professional community of engineers, scientists, technologists, experts, leading specialists, managers and investors of advanced achievements in the world science and technology in power engineering, state-of-the-art technologies and products, tools, services, equipment, materials, innovative solutions in the field of HV electric systems, introduced by leading world manufacturers.

This year, for the first time in the history of CIGRE, there will be a joint Russian exposition, organized by FSBO “Russian Energy Agency” of the Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation. The magazine “ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution” is the general media partner of the Russian exposition and the only Russian publication which will present a special English edition with selected articles, written by Russian specialists on main themes of the session, to the most prominent world experts attending the event.
The special edition will be published with the circulation of 3000 copies and distributed among all participants of 45th CIGRE session and exhibition visitors with the aim of introducing foreign specialists to the latest achievements and developments of Russian power and engineering companies.

The provisional plan of the special edition includes articles by JSC “Russian Grids”, JSC “FGC UES”, JSC “SO UES”, CJSC “UES Technical Inspection”, “ORGRES” and other companies dedicated to issues of management of business assets, equipment condition monitoring, development of control and monitoring systems, as well as innovative technical solutions.

The editorial board welcomes your participation in preparation of the special edition in the form of placement of information about products offered and activities carried out in directions discussed within the framework of the session. The given information will promote shaping of foreign colleagues’ complete and correct ideas about the main R&D directions in Russian power industry and contribute to development of common general world approaches and standards in the field.
