"Siemens Transformers " has received a certificate for compliance with ISO 14001 " Environmental Management System" after the audit results , the second phase of which was held on October 29-30 2013. The audit was carried out by the German company " TUV Rheinland Group » (TÜV Rheinland), - one of the largest organizations in the field of management systems certification . Nowadays, it has certified more than 34,000 enterprises in 75 countries.
ISO 14000 is the international standard for the establishment of an environmental management system . It is voluntary like other standards. Its main purpose is to help companies to improve their environmental performance , while respecting existing legislation.
The audit was conducted by random sampling in the main production shops and services of the enterprise. The company " TUV Rheinland Group" examined the corresponding workflow factory according the ISO 14001 and records management system for documenting , especially business organizations , as well as compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements in the field of environmental protection.
Obtaining the certificate is an important event for the recognition of "Siemens Transformers " as the company satisfying the Russian and international requirements applicable to management systems . This fact can also be seen as evidence of the actual localization of the transformer equipment company "Siemens" in Russia. In future, this will increase the competitiveness of the plant in the Russian and foreign markets .
