Energy-saving measures can provide additional GDP growth in Russia in the amount of 2-3% , said Energy Minister Alexander Novak , speaking at the II International Forum " Energy efficiency and conservation » ENES- 2013 , which was opened on November 21, 2013 in the Moscow arcade . The Minister also noted that in the period from 2000 to 2012 energy intensity of Russia's GDP fell by 33%.

At the plenary session "Energy Efficiency as a driver of growth and an instrument for modernization of Russian economy" panelists discussed specific areas and projects aimed at reducing energy intensity of the national economy , overall mechanisms of the state program "Energy efficiency and energy development ", introduced to the experience of advanced countries in the field of energy conservation .
Novak announced plans to modernize the Russian energy sector in the next decade , saying : " Our challenge is to reduce energy intensity by 40% by 2020. This will require the active state policy in the field of energy efficiency . "

According to the minister , there are two main tools to achieve this goal : economic incentives for energy consumers and governmental . " World's Best practices show that these two approaches are allowed to act comprehensively ," - the Minister concluded.
The ideas expressed by the Minister of Energy , were developed in speeches of the chairman of "Sberbank of Russia " German Gref , managing director of BCG Deer Vaybur Yang , the president of the " Skolkovo" Viktor Vekselberg , General Director of JSC "IDGC of Center " Oleg Isaev and others.

The forum launched the exhibition of more than 100 Russian and foreign companies. An interesting talk about techniques and technologies can help reduce energy consumption and energy efficiency of various sectors of the economy - housing, agriculture, transport and industry .
Moreover, several companies have signed partnership agreements in different subjects . In particular a memorandum " Understanding " was adopted by Schneider Electric and OJSC " Sberbank of Russia" . And on the stand of JSC " IDGC of Center" a cooperation agreement between this country's largest power grid distribution company and NIU " Moscow Power Engineering Institute was signed." In the presence of the Deputy Energy Minister Anton Inyutsyna the strategic document was signed by CEO of "IDGC of Center " Oleg Isaev and Rector Nikolai Rogalev MEI .

A. Inyutsyn noted that in the coming years it is expected to update 50 percent staffing in the energy industry . This is due to the fact that now the expert of electricity in the average age is 45 years. To clean the age problem the problem of the introduction and use of new technologies is added. Graduates have come to the company's already ready to work in the new reality , new equipment and new techniques . And here the key role is played by systematic cooperation of universities and energy companies .

Transmission and Distribution ", Rector NIU " MEI " Rogalev noted that first of all, the parties' attention will focus on the relay protection of power grid and switching tasks. "We have made a comparative analysis of training in our institute with leading universities in the world , - the head of MEI . - It turned out - we teach very well. Another thing that is changing the paradigm of the electric power industry . And this must be considered in the students preparation. We will deal together with JSC " IDGC of Center" .
