"Rosseti" discussed the synchronization of the power of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran

General Director of " Rosseti " Oleg Budargin took part in a tripartite meeting of energy ministers and heads of energy companies of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran , held on November 1 in the framework of the 44th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council .
During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of cooperation and the prospects for further work on the synchronization of the power of the three countries .
Among the promising areas of joint work, the participants voiced the need to strengthen the intergovernmental amounts, terms and conditions of power exchanges and capacity between Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran , as well as conducting research on the justification for investment in the project synchronization and identification of sources of financing .
First of all, in this paper each country will determine future need to export - import of electricity , the need to strengthen the existing and construction of new generating capacity and networks , as well as the volume of funding.
This requires synchronization of the power to consider the conditions and the list of measures to ensure the safe operation of each of the options. Also, they need to define the principles and requirements for dispatching , to consider issues of a regional electricity market , the level of tariffs in the wholesale market, to develop proposals for the legal basis of the construction of the interstate power grid facilities and the compulsory implementation of the energy systems of the participating countries of common rules for the operation of the new power association.
Following the meeting, the participants agreed to resume the working group on the synchronization of the energy systems of Russia , Azerbaijan and Iran , the next meeting will take place in late November in Moscow.
