"Rosseti" took part in the Committee of the energy system of BRELL countries meeting

"Rosseti" took part in the 25th session of the Committee of the energy system of BRELL countries (Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). The Russian side was represented by First Deputy General Director for Technical Policy of "Rosseti" Roman Berdnikov. Participants of the meeting discussed issues of further improving of the parallel operation of power systems of the participating countries BRELL, normative principles for the use of emergency power reserve in the electric power system of the ring BRELL and the results of an international emergency personnel training energy companies, held on September 12 in Minsk.

In his speech Roman Berdnikov noted the willingness of "Rossetti" to enhance further cooperation with energy companies - participants of the Agreement BRELL. According to his speech, regular interaction of network companies and system operators is a unique opportunity to discuss cooperation between the parties to ensure collaboration.

The first deputy head of the "Rosseti" reported that the interests of Russian energy network in the committee will be presented by a single management company, which are consolidated on the basis of the distribution and transmission network, and also spoke to foreign partners on the key developments in the governance structure of the electric grid complex of the Russian Federation and the formation of a unified technical policy of the Russian power grid complex, aimed at the improving of the country's energy security and reliability of electricity consumers.

Following the meeting, the Committee decided to continue the joint operation of the electric ring BRELL, taking into account the implementation of network building programs of the participating countries BRELL.

The agreement on parallel operation of power systems in Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (BRELL) was signed in 2001. The document establishes the general principles of co-operation of the electric ring formed by electric networks in these countries. The supreme governing body of the electric ring BRELL is the Meeting of the Parties of the heads of agreement. At these meetings fundamental decisions were made  on strategic issues of controlling the operation of the ring and the parallel operation of power systems was improved, approved by the regulatory and technical documents.

The next meeting of the leaders of the Parties of the Agreement on the parallel operation of power systems BRELL will be held in Sochi in March 2014
