Rostelekom has replaced the last analog station ATC-55 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Now the city network of telephone communication is based on technologies of new generation.

The modernization of the network allows to increase the quality and spread the spectre of additional services, such as automotive definer of number, readdressing, new contact signal and another.

The clients transportation to digital exchanges is a necessary step in order to provide modern communication services of high quality to every citizen of the Sakhalin area ", said the director of the Sakhalin branch of OJSC" Rostelecom "Viktor Kalyuzhny.

The automatic Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk station was commissioned in 1986. The station served about 10,000 numbers that begin with the digit "5". After the modernisation, all subscribers were transferred to the new equipment with the change of numbering.

Till the end of 2015 Sakhalin branch of OJSC "Rostelecom" plans to coordinate the modernization of automatic telephone stations among the entire Sakhalin region.
