The Federal railways and FGC discuss the issues of railway electrification on Taman Peninsula, the President of Railway Monopoly informed.
“The most complicated subjects is no doubt railway infrastructure electrification on Taman Peninsula, we are leading negotiations with our net company FGC. They seem to prove the availability of plans to create powers, that could prove this electrification”- the head of FR said on the meeting with the President devoted to the development of Azov-Chernomorsk pools.
Yakunin has added that the evaluation of cargo base and prospects allows concluding on the need for additional marine coastal infrastructure at Taman. “As you know, we have some experience in Ust-Luga, we see that probably everuthing will go on a similar scheme, "- he said, as RIA Novosti reported.
The representative of FR has explained that now the part from Crimea station up to Caucasus and Temruk harbors are not electrified. Diesel traction is used here.
Talking about harbors in Novorossiysk, Yakunin has expressed the opinion that the effectiveness of harbor work will be improved due to special dry harbor building on the 9th junction, so called the 9th kilometer. “This allows the improvement of logistic supply of the harbor” – the head of FR considers.
