The end of 2015 for businesses of the “UNAKO” group

The member of the observation council of the group of companies “UNAKO” Vadim Gubin expressed his opinion of 2015: “With all the visible decrease in activity, on the whole the movement is very high on all the stages- the market demands absolutely different approaches and speed of taking decisions”.

- Have the expectations been come up? On the whole, yes. The decrease of a business activity in Russia in 2015 has much more increased compared to the last year, but in CIS we have increased the volumes of sales on 17 %. In Kazakhstan the increase makes up 67%, some perspective developments on supplies of equipment for the Ministry of Defense have also appeared and we have won in tenders in Turkmenistan. We expect some movement in projects in Uzbekistan: in 2015 in the republic our building businesses got an order of two full construction traction substations of a total cost of 12800 million dollars. It is difficult to forecast 2016 for the countries of Central and Middle Asia, we can just say that these are countries of the oil and gas sector and everything that has happened at the world market of raw materials will influence on this region. The single thing, that inspires hope, is a great delayed investment demand in power engineering of this region and also a high degree of infrastructure wear which demands reconstruction. In foreign countries our company “Global Insulator Group” continues to conquer the world market of line insulation, in 2015 the company passed the audit on International Financial Reporting Standards of the “Big Four”, the business is open for the markets of international capital, collaboration with foreign companies. I hope that political tension will not affect our plans. In the nearest future we are going to market construction and drilling equipment in foreign countries: multifunctional MKM-240 must become our decent answer to Korean producers: SBM-80, SBM-150, experimental design works on these machines are on a completion stage. The works are being done by the engineering holding “BKM-Group”, which joined potential of the Russian plants “Stroydormash” and “Stroymash”. This holding was created in 2015 as a separate big project of the “UNAKO” Group.

Speaking about news of our enterprises at the Russian market, the South Ural armature insulator plant has entered the list of complex investment projects on priority directions of civil industry according to the order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Russia). Thus, the enterprise got an opportunity of getting a compensation on investment projects of technical reequipment: the plant is on the way of start-up of some of them. The Ural compressor plant has been finishing the program on reequipment of nuclear power stations (air separation units in the Nuclear Power Plant have developed their own resource). The program has been operating for 10 years and it consisted of several projects, which included all the processes: design, commissioning, supervised installation, licensing and others.

The fall in oil prices and suspension of investment programs in the RF has led to the fall of earnings of many enterprises in the country, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the rise in price of foreign equipment gave an opportunity to start serially its own one. It happened with the “NTEAZ Electric” plant, which in 2015 mastered the products that were imported to Russia before that, because of that in 2015 the volume of sales at the enterprise grew to 13% compared to 2014.

With the all visual decrease in activity, on the whole the movement on the all stages is high- the market demands absolutely different approaches and speed of taking decisions. Staff rotation is one of the solutions: in all the business directions of “UNAKO” there are rearrangements in the top management for the increase of efficiency of the system of management.
