The production of cooper rod and cable develops in Russia

In 2012, the production of copper cable products in Russian enterprises belonging to the association "Power cable" was 606.2 thousand tons, which is 6.6% more than in 2011, as Eugene Uvarov – the Advisor to the General Director of the Association "Power cable" -said in his report on the 2nd All-Russian Conference "Copper, Brass, Bronze: trends in production and consumption ".

As he said, last year the processing of copper wire rod was made by 8 domestic factories and rose by 2.9% to 723.6 thousand tons. In comparison ,in 2004 there were issued 386 thousand tons of copper rod and its production was made by 5 companies as IIS "Metal Supply and Sales" passes.
