    Enel starts operation of South America's two larget solar parks in Brazil
    Enel, through its renewable energy subsidiary Enel Green Power Brasil Participações Ltda. ("EGPB"), has begun operation of 546 MW from solar photovoltaic projects in Brazil, consisting of the 254 MW Ituverava and the 292 MW Nova Olinda solar parks, which are South America’s largest PV facilities currently in operation. Ituverava is located in the municipality of Tabocas do Brejo Velho, in the north-eastern state of Bahia, while Nova Olinda is located in the municipality of Ribeira do Piauí, in the north-eastern state of Piauí.

    Enel and Enap inaugurete Cerro Pabellon
    Enel and ENAP inaugurated today Cerro Pabellón, which is the first geothermal power plant in South America and the world’s first large-scale facility of this kind to be built at 4,500 meters above sea level. The inauguration ceremony, which follows the start of operations at the second of the plant’s two 24 MW-units, was opened by Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet and attended by Chile’s Energy Minister Andrés Rebolledo, the country’s Environment Minister Marcelo Mena, Enel CEO and General Manager Francesco Starace, ENAP CEO Marcelo Tokman and Antonio Cammisecra, Head of Enel’s renewable division Enel Green Power.

    German cable-maker Leoni expands Pune facility; invests 10 m more
     German cable manufacturer Leoni has invested an additional €10 million (about ₹76 crore) for the expansion of its existing manufacturing facility at Chakan near Pune (India). The company’s total investment at the facility, which was commissioned in 2013, stands at €20 million.
