The new company will begin production of switchboards and casings for NKU.

ABB, the leader in power equipment and technologies for power and automation, plans to invest about $ 20 million in a new factory in the special economic zone "Lipetsk".

The construction will start in 2014, the first production - a shell for low-voltage devices - will be available in 2015.

“"This is the first Russian production of cabinet distribution, control and automation of the world class company - says Anatoly Popov, President of ABB in Russia. - We see a strong need for high-quality CLE, because today in Russia more than 60% of electrical installations need to be replaced, especially in housing and infrastructure. "

The new production facility will be conveniently located in 450 km from Moscow, the reason for its choice was the availability of raw materials and investment attractiveness of the SEZ "Lipetsk". "We appreciated the opportunities in Economic Zone Authority and the willingness to work together in the field, - said Mr. Popov.

The FACTORY will be the sixth in the Lipetsk production site ABB in Russia. Other factories are located in Moscow, the Moscow region, Cheboksary and Yekaterinburg. The staff of ABB in Russia is about 1,300 employees. The company's turnover in 2012 amounted 660 million dollars.
