The government is searching for a way to provide the sale of aluminum for RUSAl

The vice-premier of RF Arkadiy Dvorkovich charged working on the mechanism of creation of the state fond of aluminum stock, as he informed the journalists. 

“I gave the instructions to work on the mechanism of creation” – he pointed out – “Now I don’t understand which sources it should consist of, but the mechanism must be created for using it in case of critical situation with financial resources.

Recently the Director General of “Rusal” Oleg Deripaska suggested to create the state fond of aluminum to organize “a powerful tool to support the stagnant domestic demand”. As the Director General of aluminum organization said, the prices on aluminum production will stay the same this year – 1800$ per ton, resulting in the loss of production and its curtailment. This year the producers of 1.8 million tons of aluminum will be closed, as Deripaska said. “It’s not a speculation for the government- it’s a powerful tool for support of Russian domestic demand” – he added, as MetalTorg.ru says.

In the first half-year the aluminum supply in Russia was 302 000 tons, 12% less than in the same period last year
